Rationalist Forum, Tamil Nadu

In order to involve the persons in official walks of life to propagate the humanistic ideals, Periyar EV Ramasami founded, The Rationalists' Forum in the year 1970 with due registration under State Government Act. Doing propaganda on reformative lines within certain limitations is the functional style of The Rationalists' Forum. Many top level Government officials including IAS officers have contributed their services as the functionaries of the forum. Now The Rationalists' Forum is patronized by Asriyar Dr.K.Veeramani, an ardent disciple of Periyar both ideologically and organisationally, as President of Dravidar Kazhagam. Asriyar means ' teacher'. Under Asriyar's visionary patronage The Rationalists' Forum with its network of state level, district level, municipal level and village level functionaries and activists has been doing rationalist propoganda continuously through convening seminars, meetings, street corner propaganda, miracle exposure programmes, exhibitions etc., The Rationalists' Forum is designed to discharge the fundamental duties enshrined in Indian Constitution as per Article 51 a (h) that it shall be the duty of every citizen of India to develop the scientific temper, humanism and spirit of enquiry and reform. The Rationalists' Forum discharges the fundamental duties sincerely as per Indian Constitutional Provision.

The Rationalists' Forum is an affiliate of Federation of Indian Rationalist Asociations by which it extends its propaganda activities beyond Tamil Nadu and even abroad.

Periyar exposes the cunningness of Aryans, how in their epic Ramayana originally written in Sanskrit by Valmiki, eulogizing Rama, an Aryan prince, as the incarnation of Lord Vishnu and portraying the Dravidian king Ravana as a Demon (an evil character).

This book is a collection of articles of emiment rationalists like Charles Bradlau, Bertrand Russell, Periyar E.V.Ramasami and Robert Ingersoll in which they have expressed the reasons for denying belief in god.
